What 'Russian lips' actually is
A hyaluronic-acid filler technique: the injector places small amounts vertically from the body of the lip out toward the border, aiming to push height and a defined cupid's-bow shape rather than forward projection — a 'fanned', lifted, doll-like look. It is filler, not tattoo, and it adds volume.
What lip blushing is
Implanted pigment. No volume. It changes colour, evens tone and softly defines the border. It can make lips look a little fuller through colour and contrast, but it does not change their size.
Choosing / combining
Thin, pale lips that the client wants bigger and rosier might have Russian-technique filler first, settle for a month or more, then a blush to the new shape. Someone happy with their lip size who just wants colour needs only the blush.
