What online does well
Anatomy, colour theory, pigment and regulation, contraindications, consent and record-keeping, infection-control theory, business and marketing — all fine as video and reading, often better because you can revisit them.
What it cannot do
Teach your hand the depth, angle, pressure, stretch and speed of a real lip; give you supervised live-model reps; let a trainer physically correct your motion; or show you your own work healed with expert feedback. No amount of watching substitutes for a supervisor beside you as you work a living lip.
Judging a blended course
Good: online theory + several in-person days with practice skin then supervised live models + healed-case assessment + mentorship. Bad: a login, some videos, a multiple-choice quiz and a PDF certificate, with no one ever watching you hold a machine. Also check the in-person days are small-group and that the certificate meets your licensing rules.
