A repeatable setup
Fixed, diffuse, daylight-balanced light (a ring or softbox, never mixed window + bulb); neutral background; the same lens distance and height; lock white balance and exposure; wipe the lips of gloss. Take relaxed and gentle-smile frames straight on, plus a three-quarter.
The set to capture
Before (bare, cleaned lips). Immediately after (label it — colour is not final). Healed at the touch-up (the shot that belongs in a portfolio). Optionally a day 5–7 client selfie to monitor healing remotely.
Honesty and consent
Get written permission for any public use, separate from the treatment consent. Do not post 'immediately after' images as if they were results, do not colour-grade the lips, and keep 'healed' claims to genuinely healed photos. Misleading before/afters are both an ethics problem and, in some jurisdictions, an advertising-standards breach.
