The hand
All green consists entirely of tiles painted only in green: the 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 of bamboo, and the green dragon. Tiles with red, such as the 1, 5, 7 and 9 of bamboo, are excluded.
Rule variations
Some rules require the green dragon to be included; most do not. Ask before relying on a version without it.
Rarity and charm
The hand is rare because only a few tiles qualify, but it is popular for its visual appeal — a row of entirely green tiles is unforgettable.
Practical note
It usually arises from bamboo flush hands. If you are building a bamboo flush with no 5s, 7s or 9s, watch for the possibility.
